PM 2.5 levels in Bangkok have decreased today, due to a north-easterly change in wind direction, which is blowing dust out of the city, making a walk or jog in the city's parks far more pleasant.
Meanwhile, the demand for air purifiers remains high.
Governor Chadchart Sittipunt noted that the improved air circulation has helped to clear the air, leaving only yellow (moderate) and orange (unhealthy for sensitive groups) pollution zones. While the situation has improved, the respite will be short-lived, with air quality decreasing again after January 29th, though it is not expected to be as severe as in the past week.
