Filming in Thailand is “awesome”, says “Fast 9” star
Hollywood action star Vin Diesel, 51, posted a clip to Instagram on Tuesday showing his first-day on the set of the latest sequel in the ‘Fast and Furious’ movie franchise, “Fast 9” in Southern Thailand.
The movie will be shot at various locations in Phuket, Phang Nga, Krabi and Surat Thani and filming is expected to be completed by the end of July.
Thai locals have been excited to see the movie-making entourage in action this week. Authorities hope the film will help to boost tourism in Thailand when it hits cinemas abroad.
In his Instagram post, Vin Diesel said “First day completed. Blessed beyond words,” and “We just completed our first day. I feel like a miracle. One harder [sic]. But it just feels like …. we are so grateful…Can you believe this? It’s so awesome. I am so blessed. We love you so much,” he said.
