Former Democrat party deputy leader Prinn Panitchpakdi was sentenced to two years in prison today (Monday), after he was found guilty of sexually harassing an underage girl.

The court acquitted him of rape and sexual harassment charges in another case, due to insufficient evidence.

On August 10, Prinn was also found guilty of sexually abusing an 18-year-old student at a restaurant in the Sukhumvit area of Bangkok and he was sentenced to two years and eight months for that offence.

Kosonlavat Intujunyong, spokesman for the Office of the Attorney-General, said that today’s verdict means that Prinn will serve a total of four years and eight months in prison on the two convictions.
