The Air Quality Information Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has warned today that air pollution in the capital will reach the health-threatening “Red” level from January 22nd to 25th, due to very weak air circulation, trapping air-borne PM2.5 dust.
In Bangkok today, air quality has deteriorated to the “Orange” level in 35 locations, as well as in 27 central, northern and north-eastern provinces.
Ten most polluted districts in Bangkok today are:
1. Nong Khaem, 55.4µg/m³
2. Phasi Charoen, 49.7µg/m³
3. Chatuchak, 48.9µg/m³
4. Lat Krabang, 47.4µg/m³
5. Nong Chok, 47.3µg/m³
6. Bangkok Noi, 47.1µg/m³
7. Thawi Wattana, 47.0µg/m³
8. Bang Khun Thian, 45.3µg/m³
9. Nong Chok, 45.2µg/m³
10. Khlong Sam Wa, 45.0µg/m³
