The Phu Kradueng National Park, in the northeastern province of Loei, has reopened three waterfalls to visitors after their closure for about a year, following elephant attacks on tourists.
Phuvanai Moonwaeng, the national park’s chief, said that officials have carefully checked the Pen Phob, Pone Phob and Pen Phob Mai waterfalls and their surroundings, to ensure that they are safe for tourists to visit.
He said that park officials will be posted along the routes to the three waterfalls, which will be open to visitors from 8.30am to 2pm every day.
Other favourite tourist spots in this scenic mountain-top park are open as normal.
