Bangkok is suffering very high levels of air-borne pollutants today, with five districts being at the Red (unhealthy) level the remaining 45 districts at the Orange (unhealthy for the vulnerable) level. The average amount of PM2.5 dust in the air is 63.5µg/m³, against the safe level of 37.5µg/m³, according to the Air Quality Information Centre of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
The 11 worst affected districts are:
1. Khlong Toei, 82.1µg/m³
2. Nong Chok, 80.1µg/m³
3. Lat Krabang, 79µg/m³
4. Bang Na, 78.3µg/m³
5. Bang Khun Thian, 76.9µg/m³
6. Min Buri, 74.8µg/m³
7. Bueng Kum, 72.7µg/m³
8. Khanna Yao, 71.7µg/m³
9. Bangkok Noi, 71.5µg/m³
10. Khlong Sam Wa, 70.6µg/m³
11. Rat Burana, 70.5µg/m³
The centre forecasts that air circulation from later today until February 20th will be good, but weak, and this will lead to less accumulation of dust in the atmosphere.
