England wins first World Cup penalty shootout
England is through to the quarter-finals of World Cup 2018 after a nail-biting penalty shootout victory over Colombia. Harry Kane gave England the lead in the 57th minute with a penalty kick before Colombia fought back to equalize in the 93rd minute with a header from defender Yelly Mina, sending the game to extra-time which ended with a 1-1 tie and had to be decided in a penalty shootout . England then beat Colombia 4-3 to win its first World Cup penalty shootout. In an earlier match, Sweden beat Switzerland 1-0, with a deflected shot from Emil Forsberg in the 66th minute, to reach the World Cup quarter-finals.
