The Oil Fuel Fund Management Committee has issued a new directive significantly reducing price subsidies on diesel, effective today.
Under yesterday’s new directive, the subsidy on Diesel B7 has been slashed from 15.00 baht per litre to 6.41 baht per litre, while the subsidy on Diesel B20 has been reduced from 17.03 baht per litre to 9.58 baht.
The committee stated that the decision involves a recalibration of the rates of contribution, compensation and refunds to the fund to maintain fiscal balance.
The move comes amid fluctuating global energy prices and is expected to impact retail pump prices, though the committee continues to monitor the situation to mitigate any immediate burden on consumers.
