Doctors to be sent to rotation to Khok Charoen Hospital as temporary measure

The Khok Charoen district hospital in Lop Buri province announced today (Saturday) that they will operate as normal, after it had advised patients to seek treatment at other hospitals because, from the beginning of August, they will only have one doctor.

Some of the other doctors at the district hospital have resigned, while some are furthering their studies, leaving the hospital short staffed.

Upon learning about the problem, the provincial health administration decided send two doctors from nearby hospitals to work at Khok Charoen hospital on a rotation basis and two doctors to treat out-patients on daily basis.

In addition, there will be a doctor on-duty every day.

As a long-term solution, more doctors will be based at the hospital.
