Six people were shot dead, including the gunman, at the ‘Or Tor Kor’ market in Bangkok’s Chatuchak district today. The motive for the shooting is still being investigated.
The Ruam Katanyu Foundation reports that three of the victims were security guards. The shooter was seen in surveillance footage wearing a black T-shirt, a cap, camouflage shorts and a backpack hung over his chest.
The shooting took place near a centre where Kan Chompalang, a self-made crusader, was holding an event to collect public donations for Thai troops currently fighting Cambodian forces at the border.
