Police have found more information on another suspect who acted as the spotter in the shooting and killing of Lim Kimya, a former Cambodian opposition MP. The suspects remain at large.
CCTV footage shows that the alleged shooter, Ekaluck Paenoi, was assisted by a man wearing a white t-shirt and carrying a bag.
He is reportedly a Cambodian national who travelled on a tourist bus, which entered Thailand via Aranyaprathet district in Sa Kaeo province. The bus in question carried 20 passengers, including Lim Kimya.
The shooting took place shortly after the passengers disembarked from the bus near Bowonniwet Temple in Bangkok.
Thai police have also revealed that the suspected spotter took an Angkor Air flight out of Thailand only a few hours after the shooting.
The police have collected DNA samples and fingerprints from a motorcycle, which was abandoned by the shooter at a service station in Suan Luang district.
They believe that Ekaluck is still at large in Thailand and is trying to flee the country.
The investigation is also focussed on the money trail, in the hope of identifying the person who hired the gunman.
