The Provincial Administration Department (PAD) has revoked the residence visa of alleged Cambodian online scam boss Kok An and the Thai citizenships of his three children.
The registration and information technology division of the PAD had received intelligence reports from the Anti-Money Laundering Office indicating that Cambodian Senator Kok An has allegedly been engaged in casinos, human trafficking, money laundering and cyber fraud in Cambodia, which are all criminal offences in Thailand.
The reports also claim that Kok An had acquired a residence visa, while his three children were granted Thai citizenship through illegal means.
According to the reports, the three children, Phu Cher-lin, Churee and Kittisak Klongkitkol, obtained Thai citizenships by claiming that they were born to Thai parents in Pone Thong district of Roi-et province, which has proved to be false.
The Central Registration Office instructed the Prawet district office yesterday to remove the names of the three people from the census records of the Interior Ministry.
Regarding Kok An, it is reported that he left Thailand without notifying Thai authorities in advance, as legally required, hence, his residence visa was revoked and his name has been erased from the census records.
