Bangkok skywalk and road closures until Saturday during APEC Summit

The skywalk, from Chalerm Phao intersection to the Maneeya Building, is now closed until the end of the APEC Summit on Saturday, as part of the security measures.

The closure does not affect the BTS train station at Chidlom, which is open as normal, and pedestrians can still use the skywalk stairways in front of the Maneeya Building and the old Telephone Organisation of Thailand building.

From today until Saturday, motorists are advised to avoid the following roads from 6pm until 8pm and from 9pm to 11pm:

  • Sukhumvit Road, Ploenchit intersection to Sukhumvit Soi 22
  • Ratchadamri Road, Ratchaprasong Intersection to Sala Daeng Intersection
  • Wireless Road, Ploenchit Intersection to Wireless Intersection
  • Ratchadapisek Road, Asoke Intersection to Rama 4 Intersection
  • Rama 4 Road, Sala Daeng Intersection to Rama 4 Intersection
  • Expressway entrance and exit on Rama 4 Road
  • Sathorn Road, Wireless Intersection to Narinthorn Intersection
  • Yommarat expressway entrance and exit
  • Phetchaburi Road, Urupong to Yommarat intersection
  • Phitsanuloke Road, Yommarat to Suan Misakawan intersection
  • Ratchadamnoen Nok Road, Suan Misakawan to Jor-Por-Ror intersection
  • Wisut Kasat Road
  • Arun Amarin Road
  • Rama 8 Road
  • Surawong expressway entrance
  • Phaya Thai-Makkasan elevated road
  • Silom expressway exit
  • Ploenchit expressway entrance and exit
  • Urupong expressway entrance and exit
  • Rama 4 expressway entrance and exit
  • Yommarat expressway entrance and exit
