Last evening, the leaders of protest groups United Front for Thammasat and Demonstration and Free Youth Movement announced a location change for today’s 3pm protest, from the Crown Property Bureau to the Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) head office. There will, however, be someone at the Democracy Monument to take care of the protesters who are unaware of the change.
Early this morning, the Free Youth Movement posted a video clip on their Facebook page, which they call “a statement about the failed Thai state”. It begins by explaining how the police do not make them feel safe.
“Under this state, people are ruled by capitalists, military and feudalists who wretchedly write the laws.”[sic]
Meanwhile, the SCB announced that their head office, at Ratchayothin intersection, will be closed today.
