A team of park officials and veterinarians have been dispatched to Kui Buri National Park, in Muang district of Prachuap Khiri Khan province, to help an injured elephant.
The limping animal was seen near a reservoir, in Village 12 in Ao Noi sub-district, with a swollen left hind leg. The team failed to locate the ailing pachyderm yesterday, so a drone was use to find it in the jungle.
A park official said they plan either to use a dart gun to administer antibiotics or to sedate it, so that more hands-on treatment can be administered.
