At least nine people were killed, two seriously injured and many others hurt when a firecracker factory exploded today in Suphan Buri’s Muang district.
Rescue workers found the factory razed to the ground and damaged vehicles parked nearby.
No one is currently being allowed to enter the site for fear of further explosions.
Suphan Buri Governor Piriya Chantadilok and senior provincial police officers are at the scene.
In January, 23 people were killed and several others injured in an explosion at a fireworks factory in the province’s Suan Taeng sub-district.
