A minor quake, measuring at 2.4 on the Richter scale, shook the resort island of Ko Samui in Surat Thani province shortly after midnight last night.
The Earthquake Watch Division of the Meteorological Department, reported that the centre of the minor tremor, which occurred at 00.47 hours, was located at a depth of about four kilometres.
Many people on the island felt the vibrations, but there have not yet been any reports of damage.
