This winter, the State Railway of Thailand invites you to take a train journey you will always remember, passing through some of the most picturesque and culturally rich parts of the country.
Their newly unveiled railway tourism program lets railway enthusiasts and travellers alike see Thailand from a new perspective.
From the luxurious Royal Blossom tourist train to the nostalgic steam locomotive, every journey offers a unique mix of comfort, history, and breathtaking landscapes.

This annual program is favored by weekenders and train enthusiasts, as it is specially designed to help local communities through the economic boost from domestic tourism.
Thanks to SRT's thoughtfully prepared schedule, you can travel every weekend for five months, choosing between day trips or overnight getaways.
The Royal Blossom Experience
SRT has converted five air-con 24-series Hamanasu passenger cars from JR Hokkaido, Japan, into the luxurious Royal Blossom.
This train features 180-degree panoramic windows that will give you a front-row seat to Thailand's beautiful countryside, replete with plush seating and an atmosphere of refinement on some of the most picturesque journeys across the nation.

This day-trip package comprises a delicious breakfast and lunch, snacks, refreshments, guided tours, and air-conditioned bus transportation at stops with the luxurious experience of travel by train, for only THB1,799 per person.
The Royal Blossom train will make even the simplest journey an indulgence by bringing food and scenery together.
From October until further notice, the Royal Blossom Program will run every weekend with a variety of one-day excursions.
This October, explore Ayutthaya and Ang Thong, on a guided tour to the historical sites from the reigns of King Naresuan and King Taksin. The price per person is THB1,799.

From November to January, enjoy an activity-packed journey across Lopburi’s sunflower fields, take in the dam, and an unforgettable floating train ride.
And in February 2025, take a romantic journey to Phetchaburi just in time for Valentine's Day, starting from THB1,799.
Timeless Travel aboard the KIHA 183
If nostalgia calls, then board the KIHA 183, a bold and classic train with Japanese flair.
From its original base for Japan Railways, and now ingeniously adapted for scenic Thai routes with spacious seating, large windows, and cooling air conditioning, it offers a very comfortable ride.

Prices will start at THB1,499 for day trips and THB3,999 for overnight adventures. The KIHA 183 offers a range of exciting itineraries, ranging from the breathtaking ride along the Eastern Railway to Jok Samet on December 7-8 to a cultural retreat at
Jim Thompson's silk farm on December 14-15 and visiting the Thai Song Dam community on December 21-22.
While from January to February 2025, other journeys will take travellers to see everything from historic palaces to the famous Phimai Light Show and starry night skies in Ratchaburi.
A Nostalgic Journey on the Historic Steam Locomotive
Take a ride back in time by visiting SRT's historic steam locomotive. This cute train makes selected daytrips from Bangkok to Ayutthaya (October 23) and Chachoengsao (December 5).
Tickets for a third-class seating option start from THB329 while the VIP second class is an air-conditioned option beginning at THB799.
There will be an onboard snack and beverage service to make your train ride through history even more comfortable.
