About ฿100m in assets seized in multiple raids on drug trafficking networks

Thai anti-narcotics police have seized assets worth about 100 million baht and arrested four major suspects belonging to three illegal narcotic networks during in raids in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Tak, Saraburi and Ayutthaya provinces since February 20th.

Pol Lt-Gen Sarayut Sa-nguanpokai, commissioner of Narcotic Suppression Bureau, said that the four suspects were nabbed during a raid in Ayutthaya Province.

The seized assets include cash, cars, tractors, buses, motorcycles, land title deeds and buildings.

Pol Gen Chinnapat Sarasin, the national deputy police chief, told a press conference on Tuesday that the four suspects are allegedly connected to the “Nai Hoy Thamin”, “Logistics” and “Nong Talo” drug trafficking networks, some of whose members were arrested on September 21st last year, in the southern province of Phatthalung, along with 279kg of methamphetamine.
