3 suspects arrested in connection with yesterday’s blasts in Bangkok

Three technical students, aged 15, 16 and 17, were arrested this morning (Saturday) in connection with the investigation into the planting of four explosive devices in the bushes in the middle of Rama IX Soi 57/1 on Friday, August 2nd, according to Metropolitan Police Division 4 Commander Pol Maj Gen Thirapong Wongratpitak.

The suspects are reported to have confessed during initial questioning at Huamark Police Station.

The police will question the suspects further when all the parties that are required to be present for the questioning of minors are present, including psychologists and social workers.

Police have reviewed CCTV footage in the hunt for suspects in the Chaengwattana Government Complex explosions. Initially, the police have 2 men who they wish to question and they are now trying to locate them.

There were four explosions at the complex on Friday.
