250 new COVID-19 cases recorded on Tuesday, including 156 cases in Bangkok

Thailand recorded 250 new COVID-19 cases today (Tuesday), with Bangkok topping the list with 156 cases related to theThonglor cluster, according to the CCSA.

Of the new infections in Bangkok, 119 were found during proactive screening and 37 among those under observation and treatment.

Of the 250 new infections, 245 were locally-acquired and 5 are among arrivals from abroad in state quarantine. New infections have also been recorded in Narathiwat, 30, Samut Prakan, 20, Chon Buri, 18 cases, Samut Sakhon, 7,  with 2 cases each in Chiang Mai, Pathum Thani and Sa Kaew and 1 each in Tak, Ayutthaya, Lop Buri, Nonthaburi, Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Chaiyaphum and Prachin Buri.

The imported cases are from Madagascar, United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Czech Republic and Turkey.

Cumulative infections, since early last year, are 29,571, with 27,948 recoveries. 1,528 others are still being treated in hospitals and the death toll remains 95.

Cumulative infections since December 15th, which marks the beginning of the second wave of infections, are 25,334, including 1,382 imported cases with a death toll of 35.
